Denise Loga is co-founder and managing director of the Berlin-based Sustainable Food Academy, a consulting agency for the food industry.
Whether at the product, technology or communications level, she grapples with many different topics regarding the future of the food sector: How will sustainable food systems be created? What is most important to younger generations? Where can companies find opportunities in the context of changing social values, digitization and sustainability? How can companies and customers communicate with each other more successfully?
Since graduating with a degree in International Business and Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, she has worked as a strategic political advisor, project manager and speaker for organisations like the United Nations (UN), the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in the field of climate policy, and she has also collaborated with decision-makers in countries as varied as China, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Philippines, Vietnam, Great Britain and Peru.
Denise is also a Millennial (Generation Y) and digital native. What’s more, she is vegan, practices yoga, enjoys spending time in nature, loves good food and is fascinated by the people who work with it. For this reason, she knows exactly what opportunities can be drawn from the changing consumption patterns in modern societies. She also communicates daily on a variety of social media platforms with different target groups. With her own lifestyle, she embodies the interests and values of the emerging generation and is therefore well placed to assess the influence of industry trends on target groups.
